Cyclone Yasi
Queensland Australia
A devastating cyclone hit people of Northeastern Australia. Cyclone Yasi is still around Australia, Queensland, the state of Australia which makes up the north east quarter of the continent, is bracing for the impact of cylone Yasi.
The damage caused from cyclone Yasi ripped apart his big old timber framed 16m x 16m farm shed and tore apart roofing and external walls and weakening all bracing elements. It was like untangling 100 knots in one piece of string. All the external post and internal post were replaced and all new beams and rafters were constructed and milled fresh from the local milling plant a few kilometres down the road.
Fallas Construction was in aid and repaired 98% of the farm shed before returning home to New Zealand.

"Phirun worked full time in the building of our architecturally designed home in Laingholm. The house was designed by Xcite Architects and went on to grace the cover of 'House' magazine and appear in other architectural publications. What is apparent in the construction of our house is the quality and old fashioned craftsmanship, something that is sadly lacking in many modern homes. Having lived in the house for three years now we are appreciating even more the attention to detail that was applied during the building stage.
Phirun was onsite every day and his work and skills are evident in the final product. You can see the quality in the pictures of the house. From the handmade wooden joinery to the unique cedar cladding style. It's a house that we love and never want to leave. Thanks Phirun."

"How lucky were we, when we saw the advert in the Hauraki Herald. Our poor old house was feeling its age just like the owners, as pieces of the facia board were dropping off and the birds were having a ball inside the roof. So we got in touch with Fallas Construction with my fingers crossed worrying about price but I can honestly say I was suprised at how young and expertly they completed it, they never slacked for a minute they worked through dreadful weather, hardly stopped for a cup of tea.
